Device Care & Maintenance
Proper care and handling of your device are essential to maintain performance and longevity. Always power off the device after use and clean it immediately. Use a soft cloth with mild soap and water to gently wipe the surface. Do not submerge the device in water or use soaps or cleansers that contain acids or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the protective coating.

To sanitize, use only regular 70% isopropyl alcohol pads. Avoid hospital-grade or peroxide-based disinfectants (such as PREVention or Cavicide), as these products can damage the surface coating and are not safe for cosmetic or electronic devices. Hospital disinfectants often contain accelerated hydrogen peroxide (AHP) or quaternary ammonium compounds designed for hard, non-coated medical surfaces. These reactive agents can cause coating deterioration, bubbling, or discoloration over time. All major ultrasound, LED, and RF device manufacturers recommend 70% isopropyl alcohol because it effectively sanitizes without damaging coatings or internal components.

Store the device in a cool, dry location away from humidity or direct heat. Avoid prolonged charging, as leaving the device plugged in continuously may shorten battery life. Charge only when the indicator light turns red.

When charging, ensure that the plug is fully inserted and the red light is visible. The red indicator confirms that charging has started; it will turn green once the battery is full. If you do not see the red light, the connection is not secure, and the device is not charging. Always use the original charging cable supplied with your device.

Please ensure that no water or liquid comes into contact with the USB port, as this can cause corrosion or permanent physical damage. This applies to all electronic devices — always keep the port completely dry and avoid handling the charger with wet hands.
Surface peeling, bubbling, or color changes caused by harsh cleaning agents or liquid exposure are considered chemical or physical damage and are not covered under warranty.

 

 

Why Hospital-Grade Disinfectants Shouldn’t Be Used on Devices

Many estheticians use disinfectants like PREVention or CaviCide because they’re approved for disinfecting treatment surfaces, countertops, and tools such as tweezers, scissors, and metal implements. These products are designed for hard, non-coated medical surfaces, not for delicate coated or electronic devices.

PREVention and CaviCide typically contain accelerated hydrogen peroxide (AHP) or quaternary ammonium compounds, which are highly effective on stainless steel and plastic instruments but too strong for devices with a protective coating or painted finish. When used repeatedly on handheld equipment, they can break down coatings, cause bubbling, peeling, or corrosion around ports and seams, and may even affect internal components.

That’s why both medical device and aesthetic equipment manufacturers — including those producing ultrasound, RF, and LED systems — recommend using only 70% isopropyl alcohol for cleaning. It sanitizes effectively, evaporates quickly, and won’t harm the coating, plating, or electronics.
